How To Embrace This Season's Boho Trend

Blog

As the year wears on and the seasons change, it's becoming clearer than ever that the boho trend is here to stay. The good news is that you don't need a whole new wardrobe to embrace this look--with just a few key accessories you'll be able to relax and rock out with the best of them, all while wearing the same actual clothes you wore the season before!

Macrame Waistcoat

Macrame pieces are everywhere this season, and if you can find the perfect macrame waistcoat, you'll be able to give your whole wardrobe a boho revolution. You can throw this on over almost anything--a simple tunic top, jeans and a t-shirt, a maxi dress--and find that it suddenly takes on a whole different style. These waistcoats are also extremely flattering, and tend to dry quickly when they've been washed!

Fringed Boots

A pair of fringed boots is probably the quickest and easiest way to bohoify any outfit. Ankle boots are the most versatile, but if you pick up a pair of knee-highs as well, your options will expand enormously. Perhaps the most boho fringed boot look of all is to wear them with a midi skirt or dress; there's something so relaxed and casual about ankle boots underneath a slightly higher hemline. Doubling up your fringes simply enhances the effect, so keep an eye out for midi dresses with fringing along the hem!

Big, Floppy Hat

Hundreds of online retailers all through Australia are now selling these boho hats: big, floppy, wide-brimmed and often trimmed with beaded or macrame fittings. They're often suede, though leather and felt can both be found, and they're generally brown in colour. It's worth picking up a black one as well, though, for even more boho options! They'll keep the sun off your face and they'll give a whole new vibe to even the simplest outfit. Try dressing them up as well as down--many can double up for the evening!

Wide Studded Belt

Update a baggy dress or an old pair of jeans with a new belt, and go for anything beaded, fringed or studded to help with your boho look. The key here is to make a statement--the boho belt is a centrepiece, and not simply for utility! Try cinching in a baggy dress with a brown leather tasselled belt and topping the whole look with a fringed crop top; the differing lines give the whole look a busy, bohemian feel.

Bangles & Lariats

Don't forget the jewellery! Stacks of jangling bangles and long, decorative necklaces will help you add to any outfit, and it's always attention to detail that really pulls a look together. Boho is all in the details, after all; with these accessories, just imagine how even jeans and a t-shirt could be transformed into a whole new look.

Finding cute plus size pyjamas

I'm just about to move in with my boyfriend so I want to get some more cute pyjamas. I keep the really cute pyjamas to one side so that I can put them on when he comes over, but the ones I wear day to day are a little bit daggy. It can be hard to find cute plus-size sleepwear that's also comfortable to sleep in. I want to look really great for my boyfriend and keep him feeling the romance even when we see each other all the time. This blog has links to the cute sleepwear I find online.
